ha.

hey, have you read kundera's "the book of laughter and forgetting?" in one section, he writes that comic laughter is borne of the devil, because it is a recognition of that which has no place in god's world. angelic laughter is that which expresses appreciation for a moment in it's divinely assigned meaning, such as when two lovers laugh to express their joy. he also talks about ionesco a lot. just another take on it, but anyway, it's a wonderful book.

The above moniker insinuates that of an alien nature, which I wasn't going for, but instead of deleting it I thought I'd go on about it a bit since all I had to say about your entry was AMEN, BRUTHA! which was mostly in reference to the last paragraph.

Do not be alarmed, I shall not invade your state for Paprika which I still consider to be the most useless of spices... Oh shoot, I said I wasn't going to berate you and 'your people' for providing us silly Americans with fine, red spices that don't have any palatable goodness at all whatsoever... Eh (or, 'meh' as you would surely say), we cannot all be perfect. Cheers!

What is, is what is, and what should be is a terrible terrible lie. I do hope you meant Lenny Bruce. He was great.

Never let it be said that life falls into alignment with good grammar. Life likes to throw irregularities and mundane conundrums at us while it snickers behind its half-closed fingers, peeking at us to see how we'll manage the latest absurdity. You choose to immortalize yours in words that let your readers laugh or cry along with you. That makes you among the sainted few true writers.
