How do you do that? How do you distill the vignettes of nothingness and turn them into a charming, color-whorled window, softened with a touch of nostalgia? I feel homesick for places I've never seen. You have a knack for striking a universal chord - use it wisely.

It was a place called Fatty's off the Ditmars stop on the N. Nope Never been to the neptune. Gotta go with the Lyric - 24 hours/24 hour breakfast/cheep and good coffee, the mainstays of a good diner. Don't know if you've been to it. Not to many questions. I have nephews, I'm used to it.

And you make fun of me because I don't venture into Brooklyn often enough? I think I've been to the Lyric Diner. It has a musical note symbol on the sign and it's somewhere on the east side near the 20's? If it's the place I'm thinking of, they make a mean burger.

I have fantastic memories of that subway stop. Just out of curiosity, is that sign supposed to say "come on IN if you really want to"? The place doesn't sound quite so sordid as to have the sign say what you wrote. :)
